This annual event brings together speakers and participants from the IRS, tax profession (EAs, CPAs & Attorneys) as well as academia. Topics include Examination, Taxpayer Advocacy, Hot Issues (penalties for non-compliance – taxpayers and tax professionals), Ethics. Joyce will be on the Taxpayer Advocacy panel and Lenny on the Ethics panel.
Joyce Mohr, EA is the 1rst vice president of the Massachusetts Society of Enrolled Agents (MaSEA). She is a sole proprietor of her tax preparation, representation and consulting business with offices in Tewksbury and Somerville Massachusetts. She is a graduate of Boston University. She began her career in tax by managing a retail tax office for a major US tax preparation company where she also taught continuing education classes to tax preparers in areas including: international, rental and depreciation. Currently she teaches Part II of the MaSEA course that prepares candidates for the Enrolled Agent Exam. She has been an enrolled agent and a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and MaSEA since 2007. She co-founded “Acacia in Kenya” (www.acaciainkenya.org) an outreach project that partners with community leaders in Mumias, Western Kenya to care for and educate the community’s at risk high school girls. |

Leonard D Rea II EA CFP is the 2nd Vice President of the Massachusetts Society of Enrolled Agents (MaSEA). Lenny has had an established tax and financial planning practice since 1986 and has been an Enrolled Agent and a member of MaSEA since 1993. He has been a Certified Financial Planner since 1999, a registered representative with H. D. Vest since 1995, and is a Fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute. His practice focuses on tax and financial planning for individuals and small businesses. He is also a member of The National Association of Enrolled Agents and National Association of Tax Professionals. Lenny is also the principal of the study group entitled Enrolled Agents Round Table II that meets monthly in the Worcester area. Meetings provide continuing education sanctioned by the IRS for the requirements of EA’s.
